    Mr. Cleston Duane Nolff, age 80, of Mount Ida, passed away August 25, 2016 at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, AR. He was born November 3, 1935 to the late Harry Ruben Nolff and Elizabeth Mae (Chambers) Nolff in Kalkaska, Michigan. Mr. Nolff is preceded in death by his parents, one brother; Richard Nolff, and one sister; Gail Mousseau.

    Survivors include: Wife; Norma Jean Nolff, Children; Duane Nolff of Petoskie, MI, Rodney Koon of Traverse City, MI, Shawn Koon of Traverse City, MI, Randy Nolff of Traverse City, MI. Step-Children; Karen Masko of Grand Haven, MI and Vikki Koetje of Eagle River, AK, and many Grandchildren. Siblings; Jerry Dadles of Reed City, MI, Dale Nolff of South Boardman, MI, Beverly Maloney of Cedar Springs, MI, and Barton Nolff of Wyoming, MI.

    There will be a private memorial service held at a later date. Mr. Nolff was sent for cremation under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home of Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com

    Norma, I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Ted. I wish I could have seen him when he came to Michigan after Grandma passed away. Please let the family know about the memorial service. You are in my prayers. Kate in Tennessee.

    Norma, What loving care you displayed to Ted thru this challenging journey. Beautiful examples you both were of expressing and showing love for one another as well. He surely loved you. We will always remember his cheerful disposition and contagious smile. He had a strong work ethic worthy of mention. Ted loved his Creator, Jehovah God, and shared that proud name often.
